Expert Items are special abilities that can be assigned to your ship.
Each item uses one slot, and a certain amount of capacity. Capacity can be increased by increasing the Rank of your ship.
The Expert Items are:

Bomberman
Carrier Uplink
Champion Squad
Charger
Chronosphere
Critical Sensor
Death Ray
Defence Matrix
Deflector
Drone Radar
Focused Beam
Galaxy Core
Headhunter
Heat Seeker
Missile Barrage
Phoenix Rise
Power Converter
Power Saver
Predator Core
Scavenger
Shield Breaker
Subzero Emitter
Trap Defender
