If you have this Expert Item mounted, for the first 15 seconds of each wave it gives you a chance to instantly kill enemies that you hit. This is obviously more effective in higher levels where aliens require a few hits to kill.
Any aliens killed by Headhunter will disappear with a green skull, like so:
