Chronosphere acts much like an extra life. When Chronosphere becomes active, it displays a dotted purple ring around your ship like so:
When your ship is hit, instead of losing a life, your ship will slow down momentarily, and you lose the protection, but you do not lose a life.
Once Chronosphere has been used, it won't regenerate, and the icon will appear disabled. However, if you are playing Endless, you can end the game, then continue where you left off, at which point the feature is re-enabled.
The chance of Chronosphere becoming active is as follows:
Level 1 | Small |
---|---|
Level 2 | Moderate |
Level 3 | Good |
Level 4 | Great |
