There are three types of shield in the game. Shields can be pre-selected when you start a game in Campaign or Endless. The default shield is the Standard Shield, which gives immunity for a certain duration. You can upgrade this to either, a Fire Shield or an Ice Shield.
- Standard Shield
Fire Shield - Burning enemy when spaceship attack
- Ice Shield - Slow enemy when spaceship attack
- Liberty Aegis - [Lvl 1]: Lasts 50% longer but only blocks bullets. Spins to damage nearby aliens. [Lvl 2 PvP upgrade]: Throws a controllable bouncing shield on expiration
