If you have this Expert Item mounted, upon being revived it gives a chance to avoid power loss (i.e. you stay on your current power level, rather than it being halved). The chance of activating is as follows:

This Expert Item is only useful in game modes where you have multiple lives, e.g. Campaign or 1 vs 1 PvP.
Also, there is no point in putting this item on Lord, Tyrant or Cyber Blade, as these ships don't die in the normal way, and so won't trigger a revive.
